Surfing Lessons for General Public

For all lessons we provide

For all lessons the following information and skills are covered as a minimum:

• Surf Awareness
• Correct and safe use of equipment
• How to paddle your surfboard
• How to catch a wave
• The easiest way to start standing on your board and riding waves

Beginner Group Lessons are designed for the absolute novice surfer and are ideal for those first timers who would like to experience the thrills of catching and riding waves! With this ‘no experience necessary’ lesson, children, teenagers and adults alike have a fantastic time in the waves.

For all potential surfers young and older who are looking to progress from a beginner skill level to the realms of an intermediate. The Packages provide a progression of information and skills allowing for a solid basis of surfing knowledge to build upon. These Surf Packages are now the most popular session at the Land’s Edge Surf School!

Ideal for those who need more than a taste of surfing!

The Weekend Surf Packages are ideal for people with only a few days to spare and would love a couple of surf lessons. The Package covers all the skills and knowledge needed to begin a safe and enjoyable surfing career.

So no one misses out on the fun we have developed for kids under 8 years old a session called Surf Pipis. Surf Pipis is a low key introduction into the beach, the waves and some of the safety issues concerned with spending time by the coast. Surf Pipis runs throughout the Christmas holidays at Seven Mile Beach and goes for 2 hours. The cost is $44 per participant and includes a qualified Instructor and ample amounts of body boards, surfboards and sunscreen to go around.

If our planned lessons don’t fit your schedule or you’d prefer some personal tuition why not book a private lesson? The privates are great for 1, 2 or 3 friends and can cover beginner to intermediate surf tuition. As with every Land’s Edge lesson, all equipment is supplied.
Duration is 1.5 hours and can happen any time that suits your schedule.

• group cohesion and effectiveness
• specific characteristics of the beach environment eg sand budgets and dune system
