SEVEN MILE BEACH
Owing to the gradual sloping sandbanks at Seven Mile Beach the waves are long, gentle and easy to learn on. It is an uncrowded beach where most days there is more chance of meeting a dolphin in the water than another person! The long sweep of Seven Mile Beach, backed by sand dunes and forest, has one of the largest remaining areas of natural coastal dune vegetation in the central part of NSW. The heaths and forests provide a refuge for a diverse range of animals given the park’s relatively small extent.
The park is a great place for a family day out. From the end of Beach Road there is a walkway to a viewing platform and the beach. Access is easy for all ages and for the disabled. Close by there is a large grassy picnic area with barbecues in a pleasant bangalay forest setting. From the picnic area there are walking tracks through the forest.
KILLALEA (THE FARM)
Killalea or The Farm as it is known locally, is suitable for introductory and intermediate lessons. Killalea has a spectacular outlook and is a great location at which to spend the day with family and friends. A kiosk, playground and picnic facility are all on site.
